The RVAIR-PA100W complete pond aeration system was designed specifically for ponds and small lakes from 4 to 7 surface acres in size and a maximum diffuser depth of 15'. This complete aeration system comes complete with a 1hp low pressure [rotary vane] oil-less compressor, 800' of 1/2" self sinking tubing and [6] dual membrane self sinking diffuser assemblies. All the valves and pressure relief valve are also included and ready for quick and easy connections.
The air compressor with this system MUST be housed in a cabinet or other structure to keep it out of the elements. This system can easily "push" air from your barn or other structure up to 500' to your pond or lake. Use our nonweighted pvc tubing and lay it across the land to your pond, then connect it to our self sinking tubing at the edge of the water and connect the diffuser
A word about rotary vane air compressors:
In our opinion, rotary vane air compressors have some limitations to consider before you buy. We feel it is in our customers best interest to inform you before your purchase. Things to consider are:
* Rotary vane air compressors are heavy and cumbersome
* Rotary vane air compressors use more energy than piston compressors of equal size
* Rotary vane air compressors have [3] filters to maintain, piston compressors only [1]
* Rotary vane air compressors tend to need rebuild kits with far more frequency over piston
* Rotary vane rebuild kits are expensive and can be difficult to install
* Rotary vane air compressor have limitations with maximum depths they operate
* Rotary vane air compressors have limitation with distances they can push air
We offer these systems as a courtesy and simply want to inform you before you buy. These pond and lake aeration systems can be beneficial in some very limited circumstances, but we tend to recommend piston air compressor systems over rotary vane in most cases.
