What Size Unit To Purchase?
When determining which Kasco floating surface aerator to choose, we generally recommend 3/4hp - 1hp per surface acre of water. This assumes your water is no deeper than about 5'. Water in ponds greater than 5' should consider using diffused aeration as a primary aeration system with surface aeration as an optional or additional means of aerating.

When selecting your Kasco pond aerator consider these basic guidelines. Kasco typically recommends 3/4hp to 1hp per surface acre with these high oxygen transfer pond aerators. Cord lengths are available in lengths from 50’ to 400’ in some models. Kasco pond aerator pumps are available in 1/2, 3/4, 1, 2, 3 and 5 horsepower. Most Kasco pond aerators are available in both 115v and 230v. Each Kasco pond aerator comes complete with pump, power cord and float but also offers optional control panels and screen. Neither, the control panel or screen is required for proper operation of Kasco pond aerators.
