AerationSupply.com™ offers our customers a proven, very effective way to deice around docks, boathouses, piers and dams through even the toughest winter months. And, our deicing systems can be left in all year round to help deter aquatic weed growth in the summer months too! All of these benefits with absolutely No Electricity In The Water!! You may also consider a Kasco electric circulating de-icing pump as an alternative if you desire.

NOTICE: Some states, counties or even municipalities will require a permit to aerate and/ or deice some bodies of water. It is the customers responsibility to obtain permits if required and to clearly "Mark Your Open Water!" for the safety of everyone.

When deicing around a dock, boathouse, pier, along a dam or in a pond or lake it is important to understand the basic physics behind how and why these types of deicing systems work. In winter, warmer denser water is forced to the bottom or beneath the colder surface water. Our goal is to bring this warmer denser water towards the surface. We can accomplish this by use of our deicing airBASE™ diffusers which self sink along your dock or pier. As the bubbles rise from our diffusers, a current is created drawing the warmer water towards the surface. By simply raising the surface water temperature by only 1 degree above 32 degrees Fahrenheit in fresh water, ice simply cannot form.

Depending on your needs, you may consider between several pre-engineered dock deicing systems. Select from the products above to see which system best fits your requirements.

If you have an unusual situation where a pre-engineered system just doesn't work, call us toll free at 888-480-5027. We can easily design a system, big or small to accommodate your specific requirements.

Important Note:
Although these dock and pier deicing systems work very well at keeping an open area around docks and piers through the winter, spring time on larger bodies of water and rivers can still be damaging. Ice flows in spring on rivers or in larger lakes can still damage or destroy a dock or pier even with a deicing system. These large floating sheets of ice simply cannot be stopped.
